God is the source of all love and life, and in return He deserves our respect, obedience and love. We are called to imitate Him in His goodness and generosity. Today, as we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of the Universe, we see in Christ the hope for humanity; who shows; who shows us who God is and how we can keep Him at the center of our lives. Through Jesus Christ we see God who is close to His creation and to whom each one of us is precious.

Many of us volunteer time to help the homeless, or the sick or the poor. However, we are hesitant to help others when we feel we do not have enough time. The truth is any amount of time we can give is enough to give an opportunity to change someone else’s life. The situation is real, challenging, and emotionally demanding. The good works”for the least ones” is a place of suffering, of pain, of poverty, of addictions, of anger, of descriminations however with Jesus Christ presence – the love, the grace and the joy still reign. We all have helped someone, although we may not know it. When we offer a smile, a hug and a kind word – those simple things can help someone to know that the love of God is presence and they are loved. We are all connected in the love and life of God. Our good treatment to others reveals our heart – the purity and goodness in our heart.

To feed the hungry, to give water to the thirsty, to welcome the stranger, clothing the naked, care for the sick, visit for those in prison – things that anyone can do to receive the blessings and overflowing mercy of God. A simple act of love and convern “for one of the least ones”, we must have a relationship with each other. The love inspired by the Lord must be more than words we speak but also the actions we take to lighten one’s burdens and those in need.

God is the one who will judge in fairness and truth. we do not have the right to judge others. The challenge for all of us is the willingness to give ourselves to Jesus and be His servants. Our God is full of mercy and compassion. The Lord creates all things with love and seeking not to condemn but to redeem. We will be judged on how we love others and treat others.
we thanked the Lord for the opportunity to show the love and concern for those in need. We love all of our neighbors not for our own selfish reasons to be saved but we love them because we concretely see God through and in them.

As we celebrate the Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, we pray with this Gospel that we find the grace to recognize our brothers and sisters in need. The openness and the courage to feed, house, cloth and comfort them. May we forgive ourselves and others who fail to notice and fail to help the least among us, with the blessings of God, our Father, through Christ, our true King and Savior, in the Holy Spirit. Amen.
