February 9, 2020 ~ St. Peregrine Laziosi Diocesan Shrine. After a series of formation seminars and gathering of required documents, 261 children from different schools and communities within the St. Peregrine Parish, accompanied by their parents and guardians received the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist for the first time at the St. Peregrine Laziosi Diocesan Shrine on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

The celebration of the Holy Eucharist was presided by the Parochial Administrator, Rev Fr Deogracias Ma. Alejandria, Jr., OSM. In his homily and message to the first communicants, Fr Alejandria reminded the children that since they had now received the body and blood of Christ, they should now attend mass and continue to receive the Eucharist every Sunday. Rev Fr Albert Ma. Tulang, OSM assisted in the distribution of the Eucharist to the first communicants.

After the celebration of the mass, the first communicants performed a musical presentation (choreographed by the novices of the Daughters of St. Joseph of Caburlotto and the Catechists of the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish) in thanksgiving for their reception of the First Holy Communion.

Prior to the reception of their First Holy Communion, the communicants, together with their parents and guardians received the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
