Commission on Youth Holds Unite for February 2018

February 17, 2018~St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish Hall/ Mary Madelynn Cruz. The St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish’s Commission on Youth held their monthly gathering – Unite. At the event, COY’s Internal Vice President, AJ Hernandez delivered a talk covering the overview of 2018 Synod of Bishops which focuses on theme of Youth, Faith, and Vocational Discernment that aims to guide the young on their existential journey to maturity so that, through the process of discernment, they discover their plan for life and realizing it with joy with the help or intervention from God.

An Activity was given and Worship led by Michelle Jimenez and Fredylene Balensosa followed. The program ended by participating in the mass in celebration of the Solemnity of the Seven Holy Founders of the Order of Servants of Mary. Snacks and refreshments were handed out afterwards.

Father in heaven,

May the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.

May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.

May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth.

To you, our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise forever. Amen.
