God give us freedom to choose what our hearts desire. But His words teach us to distinguish good from evil. But His words teach us to distinguish good from evil. We are always given the opportunity to do what is good, right and just. We have the capacity to stay away, flee or avoid doing what is evil. He wants us to follow Him not because out of obligation, but because it is our will. We would always be caught in between options and as we usually say, because out of obligation, but because it is our will. We would always be caught in between options and as we usually say, because we are just humans, have limitations and weaknesses, we stumble. We fail to overcome the weakness of our flesh. But despite of that, God always welcomes us whenever we ask forgiveness of our sins and forgave us as we repent wholeheartedly. No one is too early nor too late for Him because He always waits. All we have to do is come back. Return to the promise we have made – to always say yes to all His will. He maybe always giving us His unlimited forgiveness, mercy and grace, but it is not assurance that we keep repeating on our mistakes. We should value the forgiveness God is giving to us. Learn from our mistakes and make use of every chance to change oneself. Every moment that have passed will be forever be in the past and never coming back. We shouldn’t let this moment passed to embrace every opportunity of honoring God, by doing His will and despising evil. We should not be like someone who is only committed to God only by words but not by deeds. Nor that someone who is committed by deeds, not by words. Instead, let us fully commit and submit ourselves to God in words and in deeds.
God has always been faithful and consistent of His promise to us. So, we should also be consistent in saying “No” to evil things and always say “Yes” to everything that honors Him. Because not all we want is right and not all right is what we want. It maybe hard but it is our duty to overcome the weakness of our flesh and replace it with the wisdom coming from God. We can never be Christ Jesus, but we can always try to live a life like Him who consults everything and listens to the Father. Remember, there are no big or small decisions in life nor hard or easy if God is always at the centers. We are what we chose to be. But only it is through God we will know what we should be.
