April 09, 2017 – St. Peregrine Laziosi Diocesan Shrine The Parish Commission on Youth gathered together to welcome the Diocesan Youth Cross which has been visiting parishes since the launch of the 5th Asian Youth Day in 2009.

The Diocesan Youth Cross is a significant symbol in our faith that was derived from the Holy Year Cross that was entrusted by St. John Paul II to the young Catholic faithfuls. The cross serves as a reminder to all the Catholic faithful in our community of Christ’s love for us, and that we are saved and redeemed in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The youth are given the task to carry the cross and bring salvation and redemption back to the many faithful. They are our symbols of hope and models of a faith that is alive and lived in our everyday actions.

Accompanying the Diocesan Youth Cross on its pilgrimage is the image of Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso (Our Lady of Good Events) de Parañaque – patroness of the Diocese of Parañaque. Both the Diocesan Youth Cross and the image of Our Lady of Good Events are displayed for veneration at the shrine and will remain in the parish until May 6, 2017.
