It was in 1989 when I first set foot in DBCS for my theological formation, the place where I learned the foundations of my faith and future ministry. The academe did not only hone my natural gifts and challenged me to strive for excellence but likewise widened my horizons and developed that sense of community (family) in me. It is where we discovered to celebrate our charismatic diversities through various inter- congregational activities such as group works, sport, visits, outings, etc. For four years, DBCS became my second home, a welcoming space for dialogue and inclusive co-habitation with one another, with our professors (mentors) and the staff and non- academic workers. I have been in the leadership ministry for some years now and I could attest that the values I uphold to these days were learned during my DBCS years, namely: the value of hard work, discipline and amorevolezza (loving kindness).
