May 28, 2017 (St. Peregrine Laziosi Diocesan Shrine). With the theme “Masaya kung magkakasama at nagkakaisa” the Paalay kay Maria 2017 went underway through the month of May at the local community chapels of the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish. The Paalay aims to bring the church closer to children by teaching them what the Catholic Church is and who are its members. It also encourages them that in their own little way, they too, can be an important member of church.

The catechists, together with the community and BEC coordinators, discussed the rosary and taught the children how to pray the rosary. They taught the children that Mama Mary is the role model and the Mother of the Church. And as a sign of respect, they sung songs and offered flowers to her.

The Grand Paalay kay Birheng Maria was held at the St. Peregrine Laziosi Diocesan Shrine yesterday, May 27, 2017, wherein all the children from the different communities gathered to offer flowers to Mama Mary. The Mass was presided over by the Parish Administrator, Rev. Fr. Leonardo Ma. Guiang Jr., OSM. The celebration ended with the children singing and doing an interpretative dance to the song “Awit sa Ina ng Santo Rosaryo”.
