Rev Fr Joel Ma. Morata, OSM Laid to Rest on April 22, 2017

April 22, 2017 ~ St. Peregrine Laziosi Diocesan Shrine. Rev Fr Joel Ma. Morata, OSM, Parish Priest of the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish was laid to rest at the Everest Memorial Park in Susana Heights, Muntinlupa City.

The Funeral Mass was well-attended by parishioners, family and friends, religious brothers and sisters, and members of the Clergy, both Diocesan and Religious. Rev. Msgr. Albert A. Venus came as the representative of the Bishop of Paranaque and Fr Joel’s priest-friend who knew from his youth, came and gave testimony to his experience while guiding Fr Joel on his discernment to the priesthood.

The evening prior to the funeral, a necrological service was held at the Parish Hall where Fr Joel’s remains lay. His family who flew in from Davao, together with friends and members of the communities and commissions, celebrated and paid tribute to his life.
