St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish Celebrates Palm Sunday

April 11, 2017 – Tunasan, Muntinlupa — (Lara Titan/ St. Peregrine Media Office) The St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish in Tunasan, Muntinlupa celebrated Palm Sunday last April 9 which began with a parade of palm leaves “palaspas” from SM Center Muntinlupa to the Diocesan Shrine of St. Peregrine Laziosi carried by the parishioners before 5am in the morning.

At said venue, as with the annual tradition, the palm leaves “palaspas” were blessed with prayer and sprinkled with holy water before heading off to the Shrine for the Eucharistic celebration. The mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Leonard Ma. Guiang, OSM in which his homily reminds us of the triumph of Christ against death and all evil, and instills in us what is needed in order to partake in the saving work of Christ – Sacrifice, Service, and Selfless Love.

THE JUBILEE PRAYER

Father in heaven,

May the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.

May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.

May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth.

To you, our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise forever. Amen.
