There must be at least love, trust or even familiarity for us to be willing to do it. But sometimes, it also depends on what we will share,

The Paalay Kay Maria this year ended with the children who participated more eager to come next year. The participants, aged 6 years old and above, not only became spiritually nourished with the Catechism, but also gained new friends from different communities. A big thanks to all who supported the Paalay Kay Maria – the Pastoral community coordinators, the sponsors and youth volunteers and especially to the Catechists for their selflessness in sharing the good works of the church.

It is striking how the scriptures describe Jesus’ “moving up” to heaven. The English noun we us for is it “ascension” and the corresponding verb “ascend” seem to suggest that the subject is the one responsible for his own rising. But the scenario was not described as “Jesus went up” – Jesus was taken up. He was lifted up. Jesus listened to the Father…

POST-SYNODAL APOSTOLIC EXHORTATION AMORIS LÆTITIA OF THE HOLY FATHER FRANCIS TO BISHOPS, PRIESTS AND DEACONS, CONSECRATED PERSONS, CHRISTIAN MARRIED COUPLES, AND ALL THE LAY FAITHFUL ON LOVE IN THE FAMILY. The Joy of Love experienced by families is also the joy of the Church. As the Synod Fathers noted, for all the many signs of crisis in the institution of marriage, “the desire to marry and form a family remains vibrant, especially among young people, and this is an inspiration to the Church”. 1 that desire, “the Christian proclamation on the family is good news indeed”. 2. The Synod process allowed for an examination of the situation of families in today’s world, and thus for a broader vision and a renewed awareness of the importance of marriage and the family. The complexity of the issues that arose revealed the need for continued open discussion of a number of doctrinal, moral, spiritual, and pastoral questions. The thinking of pastors and theologians, if faithful to the Church, honest, realistic and creative, will help us to achieve greater clarity. The debates carried on in the media, in certain publications and even among the Church’s ministers, range from an

Message of His Holiness Pope Francis – Urbi et Orbi – Easter Sunday, 27 March 2016 – “O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures for ever” (Ps 135:1) Dear Brothers and Sisters, Happy Easter! Jesus Christ, the incarnation of God’s mercy, out of love for us, died on the cross, and out of love he rose again from the dead. That is why we proclaim today: Jesus is Lord!
His resurrection fulfils the prophecy of the Psalm: God’s mercy endures for ever; it never dies. We can trust him completely, and we thank him because for our sake he descended into the depths of the abyss.
Before the spiritual and moral abysses of mankind, before the chasms that open up in hearts and provoke hatred and death, only an infinite mercy can bring us salvation. Only God can fill those chasms with his love, prevent us from falling into them and help us to continue our journey together towards the land of freedom and life.

Presided over by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ike Alejandria, OSM, the blessing of Palm leaves and procession to the Shrine ushered in the start of the Holy Week this 2016. Assembled right after 5AM at the entrance of SM Muntinlupa, the gospel was read and a brief homily was given to the faithful gathered together. With palm leaves waving in the air to symbolize Jesus’ triumphant entry to Jerusalem, the faithful started the procession along the National Highway towards the Shrine where the reading of the Passion of Christ and the celebration of the Eucharist was to follow.
Read MoreFather in heaven,
May the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth.
To you, our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise forever. Amen.
