The publication started and the group was formed in January 2001 on Epiphany Sunday. It was founded by a priest belonging to the Order of the Servants of Mary (OSM).
Through the years, members have come and gone but in total, ~50 individuals have been part of the team. These young individuals in their own time have been active at the St Peregrine Laziosi Parish ‐ Muntinlupa, serving not only as young prophets as they were fondly considered by the team’s early spiritual directors but also as Animators, Cathechists, Lectors, and Commentators. Members have recognized that their participation in the team had, if not, continues to be instrumental in their formation as Christians, responsible individuals, and upright citizens.
It is a noble and remarkable legacy NeoJ spiritual directors – past and present – are imparting to the youth of our Parish as they continue to assist them in their spiritual growth. They fulfill their priestly responsibilities to these young people, who in turn fulfill theirs as they impart the good news to their families and friends, and even to the juvenile delinquents they visit weekly at the National Bilibid Prison.
This is a testament to how God is working through and among his people!

Reflections by Team Neo Jeremiah
The Words of Eternal Life – Corpus Christi Sunday
I started being involved in the church when I was in elementary. I was invited by some elder sisters and people who happened to be catechists and servants then. I remember how fascinated I was in attending masses, choir rehearsals and parochial events. At a young...
The Blessed Trinity in You and Me
For more than three decades, I keep on doing the sign of the cross because I was born Catholic. When I asked why three divine persons, it was explained in a way that I still cannot grasp. All because it is a mystery meant to be taken into heart by faith. And when...
Peace Be With You
"Pentecost is celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples of Jesus after His Ascension. Pentecost is also the day in which the church was started. Since the spirit brings the church into existence and enlivens it. Thus, Pentecost is the church's...
Commission – Ascension Sunday
Have you accepted your commission? We are never too young or too old to tell others about God’s great love to all of us, the gift of new life and the Good News of our salvation through Jesus. The gospel passage os from the very end of Matthews’s gospel, before Jesus...
The Advocate | Neo Jeremiah
Oftentimes, we face difficulties in life. And as we look back, it is unexplainable how some people managed to help us in their own ways. It is incomprehensible how we managed to have the strength to go on and overcome such troubles; and after a while, in just a matter...
The Way, the Truth and the Life
I found comfort in the reassuring words of “do not let your hearts be troubled…” I remember when I was young, I got lost in church, surrounded by many people. It took me a little while to realize that I didn’t know where my mother was. The truth was, I was lost the...
Shepherds With The Smell of Sheep
As I tried to reflect on today's Gospel, I remembered one anecdote from my high school days, it was my first year in high school in an all-boys school when we were encouraged to take the sacrament of reconciliation. That was the second time I went to...
Journey with Him
How is Jesus alive and present among us? Do we burn with love for Him? When have we experienced the strange and wonderful feeling of the burning heart, as we listen to the word of God at the Holy Eucharist or through our own prayers? Today’s beautiful gospel...
In Him Alone
Pain is crippling. Fear of what the future holds inhibits one from moving forward. Too much hurt gives a person more reason to rely on his own realities so he can hide and take comfort in his own sorrow. Sometime in the first quarter of this year, I had what I would...
Empty Tomb
God listens. God heals. God forgives. God answers our prayers. God has His perfect time. As Christians, we all know these realities and we keep holding on to them. However, do we also believe that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, has risen from His death? The tomb was...
