The publication started and the group was formed in January 2001 on Epiphany Sunday. It was founded by a priest belonging to the Order of the Servants of Mary (OSM).
Through the years, members have come and gone but in total, ~50 individuals have been part of the team. These young individuals in their own time have been active at the St Peregrine Laziosi Parish ‐ Muntinlupa, serving not only as young prophets as they were fondly considered by the team’s early spiritual directors but also as Animators, Cathechists, Lectors, and Commentators. Members have recognized that their participation in the team had, if not, continues to be instrumental in their formation as Christians, responsible individuals, and upright citizens.
It is a noble and remarkable legacy NeoJ spiritual directors – past and present – are imparting to the youth of our Parish as they continue to assist them in their spiritual growth. They fulfill their priestly responsibilities to these young people, who in turn fulfill theirs as they impart the good news to their families and friends, and even to the juvenile delinquents they visit weekly at the National Bilibid Prison.
This is a testament to how God is working through and among his people!

Reflections by Team Neo Jeremiah
The Passion of Christ
Have there been times in our lives we betrayed and denied Jesus, not in the obvious and literal way of Judas, but in our hearts and actions? The gospel passion narrative begins with the plot of Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus and continues through familiar scenes:...
Kamatayan at Buhay
Enlightenment – 4th Sunday of Lent
Source: Neo Jeremiah Voice of the Young Prophet Newsletter - March 26, 2017 issue. The ability to see is a wonderful blessing. It is often said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, it is used to describe the deep connection one feels when looking into another's...
“Hope” – 3rd Sunday in Lent
How do you face the world after committing a mistake or failure? Did you just act like nothing happened? Is it still the same? Do you still face the world head up high? Are you going to isolate yourself from others? Or detain yourself in the mistakes you made? We...
Transfigured Through Prayers – 2nd Sunday of Lent
Source: Neo Jeremiah Voice of the Young Prophet Newsletter (March 12, 2017 issue) The story of Jesus’ transfiguration brings preview of the fullness and greatness of God. It was a unique experience in the life of Jesus and of the three closest disciples who witnessed it, to strengthen the faith of…
After Thought – 1st Sunday of Lent – March 5, 2017
Our Lenten journey started on Ash Wednesday and as we are essentially being prepared during this time for Easter, today’s gospel reminds us of the “tests” along the way. The temptations of the evil now are perennial yet today’s scriptural texts give a resounding...
Afterthought – 11th Sunday of Ordinary Time – June 12, 2016
Source: Neo Jeremiah Voice of the Young Prophet Newsletter (June 12, 2016 issue) In today’s gospel (Luke 7:36-50), we meet two different personalities – one, a Pharisee who invited Jesus to dine with him at his house, and the other, a sinful woman, who learned about Jesus’ whereabouts and came unbidden.
Ang Pag-ibig ay Ibinabahagi – Corpus Christi Sunday – May 29, 2016
Source: Neo Jeremiah Voice of the Young Prophet Newsletter (May 29, 2016 issue) Makahulugan ang isinulat ni Papa Benedicto XVI sa apostolic exhortation na pinamagatang Sacramentum Caritatis. Ayon sa kanya, “The love that we celebrate in the sacrament is not something we can keep to ourselves. By its very nature, it…
Sharing – Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ – May 29, 2016
Source: Neo Jeremiah Voice of the Young Prophet Newsletter (May 29, 2016 issue) Sharing is sometimes hard to do; an established relationship is often needed for us to share something with somebody. There must be at least love, trust or even familiarity for us to be willing to do it. But sometimes, it also depends on what we will share,
After Thought – Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord – May 8, 2016
It is striking how the scriptures describe Jesus’ “moving up” to heaven. The English noun we us for is it “ascension” and the corresponding verb “ascend” seem to suggest that the subject is the one responsible for his own rising. But the scenario was not described as “Jesus went up” – Jesus was taken up. He was lifted up. Jesus listened to the Father…
