St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish & Diocesan Shrine held its annual Parish Pastoral Planning. The spirit of community and shared purpose filled the parish leaders and coordinators last September 21, 2025. This year’s theme, “Growing in Service, Maturing in Virtues,” set a thoughtful and forward-looking tone for discussions that aimed to strengthen the parish’s mission and the spiritual lives of its members.
The meeting opened with a prayer and Scripture reflection, grounding the faith and the parish’s shared commitment to serve God and neighbor. It was then followed by an opening speech from the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Bryan Ma. Eala, OSM.
“May our Service to the Church serve as a reflection on how we mature in our faith,” commented Fr. Bryan on his address. “No community is perfect, but it doesn’t mean that we will no longer strive for perfection. Whatever we do here, let us do it for God, with God, and in God.”
Participants of the planning then reviewed the achievements and challenges of the past year, highlighting both the fruits of the ministry and areas for growth.
Every commission, ministry, down to local pastoral communities were given a platform to present their plans for the rest of this year and for the coming year. They identified pastoral priorities such as strengthening family and youth formation, fostering active participation in the liturgy, and renewing commitment to missionary discipleship, just to name a few. These insights will shape the parish’s pastoral plan for the year, ensuring that activities remain rooted in the Gospel and responsive to the needs of the community.
A holy mass was held to conclude the meeting and to offer gratitude to God for the joy, unity, and renewed mission that were felt in the planning session. The pastoral plan will soon be shared with the wider parish community, inviting everyone to be part of bringing this vision to life.
