Faith, joy, and devotion came together as children, parents, families, and parishioners gathered at St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish & Diocesan Shrine for the Holy Heroes Walk 2026, held on October 31 in joyful anticipation of the Solemnity of All Saints.

The celebration began with the opening remarks of Rev. Fr. Bryan Ma. Eala, OSM, Parish Priest, who welcomed the children, their families, and all those who joined the parish community for the special occasion.

This was followed by a short formation led by Fra. Ronel Ma. Advincula, OSM, who reflected on why the Church celebrates All Saints’ Day and what it means for a person to be called a saint. At the heart of the formation was a simple yet profound message: the saints were men and women whose deep faith moved their hearts to love God and their neighbors abundantly. Their holiness was expressed not only through words, but in the way they lived their lives with faith and love. Their example reminds us that holiness is not reserved for a select few. It is a calling that each of us is invited to embrace in our own lives.

Following the formation, candies and goodies were distributed to the children, adding to the festive spirit of the afternoon.

Dressed as their favorite saints, the young participants then joined their families and fellow parishioners for the much-awaited Holy Heroes Walk. The procession made its way along the National Highway, bringing the celebration of faith beyond the church grounds. As the children walked dressed as saints, the procession became a public witness to the lives of the holy men and women who continue to inspire the faithful to follow Christ.

After the procession, the parish community gathered for the 6:00 PM Vigil Mass for All Saints’ Day, bringing the day’s celebration to its most meaningful moment in the Holy Eucharist.

The festivities also included the announcement of the winners of the Best Saint Dress, recognizing the creativity and effort of the participants in portraying the saints they had chosen.

Yet beyond the costumes, candies, prizes, and procession, the Holy Heroes Walk carried a message worth taking home “We are all called to become saints.”

The saints lived in different times, came from different circumstances, and followed different paths. What united them was their faith in God and their extraordinary love for God and their fellow human beings.

May our children grow not only knowing the names and stories of the saints, but also learning to imitate their virtues through prayer, kindness, generosity, service, and love for others. And may every family continue to walk together in faith, teaching the next generation that holiness can begin in the simple choices we make each day to love God and one another.

All Saints and Blessed in Heaven, pray for us!
