On November 29, 2025, the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish & Diocesan Shrine hosted a deeply enriching Advent Recollection titled “The Time Before Time Ends – Living the Urgency of Now in Light of Christ’s Return.” This annual spiritual gathering invited parishioners to reflect on the meaning of Advent as a season of preparation – not only for Christmas but for the ultimate promise of Christ’s Second Coming.
The recollection was led by Sis. Marie Beth Christine “Kring” S. Loquias, whose inspiring talk guided participants through Scripture and Church teachings on the Second coming. One of the most striking moments of the recollection was the reflection on “The arrival of the Eternal Judge”, based on the writings of St. Anthony Mary Claret.
“The heavens will suddenly open and the Son of God will appear descending with great power and majesty. In one hand He carries the book of life and in the other the rod of His justice.”
As we continue this Advent season, let us heed the call to prepare the way for the Lord, living each day with hearts ready for His coming.
