The St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish & Diocesan Shrine solemnly celebrated the Rorate Caeli Mass last December 18 at 6PM, a meaningful liturgy honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary and our hopeful waiting for the coming of Christ. The Holy Mass was presided over by our Vicar Provincial, Rev. Fr. Paul Martin Ma. Gapuz, OSM, as we gathered in prayer in our parish — gently embraced by darkness.
In his reflection, Fr. Paul shared that the Church begins in darkness because the world was once darkened by original sin, before the coming of the Son, who is the true Light. His words were a powerful invitation to think about our own need for God’s love and the incredible hope we have because of Christ.
May this Rorate Mass continue to inspire our parish community to walk faithfully through the season of Advent with hope and trust in the Lord. Letting Christ’s light shine a little brighter in our hearts each day. Through prayer, turning back to God, and loving the people around us, we can share that light not just inside our church, but in every corner of our lives, preparing ourselves — and maybe even those we meet — for the joy of Christmas.
