The faithful gathered in prayerful celebration for the Solemnity of Our Lady of Sorrows on September 15, 2026, through a solemn Misa Cantata honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary under her title as the Sorrowful Mother.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by The Very Rev. Fr. Paul Martin Ma. Gapuz, OSM whose inspiring message invited the faithful to reflect on the sorrows endured by the Blessed Mother and her unwavering faith, obedience, and love for God. The Mass was concelebrated by the Order of the Servants of Mary (OSM) priests, whose presence highlighted the Servite devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows.

Through sacred music, prayer, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the faithful were drawn into a deeper contemplation of Mary’s participation in the saving mission of Christ. The solemn occasion served as a reminder that amid life’s trials and sufferings, Mary remains a compassionate mother who accompanies her children with love and intercedes for them before her Son.

As the Church honored the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the community renewed its commitment to follow Christ with courage and fidelity, inspired by the example of Our Lady’s steadfast faith at the foot of the Cross.

May Our Lady of Sorrows continue to console the afflicted, strengthen the weary, and lead all people closer to Jesus Christ.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
