April 09, 2017 – (SM Muntinlupa) Presiding over the blessing of Palms at the entrance of SM Center in Muntinlupa City, Parish Administrator Rev Fr Leonard Ma. Guiang, OSM led the faithful in commemorating the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem – heralding in the week-long blessed and solemn celebration of the Passion of Jesus Christ.

On his homily, Rev Fr Guiang reminded the faithful of what the palms being blessed symbolizes and of what they’re not – meaning that the palms symbolizes the triumph of Jesus Christ against death and all evils and reiterates that the blessed palms should not be used as talismans or anting-anting against bad luck and calamities which still remains as part of the folklore beliefs of the Filipino people.

After blessing the palms, Fr Guiang led the congregation on a procession to the St. Peregrine Laziosi Diocesan Shrine followed by the solemn celebration of the Palm Sunday Liturgy.

The faithful and parishioners of St. Peregrine Laziosi are encouraged to participate and take part in the blessed celebration of the Holy Week.
