Faith and devotion prevailed as hundreds of faithful from across the Diocese gathered for the Tres Coronadas and Grand Diocesan Procession in celebration of the Jubilee Year of Our Lady of Buen Suceso. Despite intermittent rains throughout the afternoon, the procession continued with unwavering enthusiasm and prayerful participation.

This year’s participation held even greater significance for the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish and Diocesan Shrine as the parish continues to commemorate the Tercentenary of the Canonization of St. Peregrine Laziosi, celebrating 300 years since the Church formally recognized the sanctity of the beloved patron of those suffering from cancer and serious illnesses.

Representing the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish and Diocesan Shrine, our beloved patron St. Peregrine Laziosi joined the historic procession that assembled at 1:00 PM in September 5, 2026 at the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Baclaran. Parishioners, ministry members, and devotees accompanied the image of our beloved patron saint as it journeyed alongside the three canonically crowned Marian images, other parish patrons, and representatives from churches throughout the Diocese.

Leading the delegation was our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Bryan Ma. Eala, OSM, who guided and accompanied the faithful throughout this significant diocesan celebration. The weather did not dampen the spirit of the faithful. Umbrellas were raised, prayers continued, and hymns echoed along the route as participants demonstrated their deep devotion to the Blessed Mother and their commitment to the life of the Church. The rain became a reminder of the perseverance and unity of the faithful, who walked together in prayer and thanksgiving.

The procession concluded at the Cathedral-Parish of St. Andrew, the Diocesan Shrine of Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso, where the gathered faithful offered prayers in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and celebrated the rich spiritual heritage of the Diocese.

The participation of St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish and Diocesan Shrine in this significant diocesan event highlighted not only the parish community’s devotion to Our Lady but also the continuing celebration of the Tercentenary of the Canonization of St. Peregrine Laziosi. Through this journey of faith, the faithful were reminded of St. Peregrine’s enduring witness of hope, perseverance, and trust in God amid suffering and trials.

As the Church continues to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Our Lady of Buen Suceso and the parish’s Tercentenary commemoration of St. Peregrine Laziosi’s canonization, may the witness of faith shown during this year’s Tres Coronadas and Grand Diocesan Procession inspire all the faithful to remain steadfast in prayer, hope, and trust in God’s providence, regardless of life’s challenges.

“The rain may have fallen upon the streets, but it could not diminish the faith that filled the hearts of the faithful.”
