December 5, 2017 (Lara Titan/ Saint Peregrine Media Office) – The Saint Peregrine Laziosi Parish in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, in cooperation with the Parish’s Saint Peregrine Chorale held a Concert at Insular Life Coporate Centre at Filinvest Alabang last Saturday, December 2, 2017 for the amelioration of Parish facilities such as rest rooms and for the benefit of OSM seminarians as well. Entitled “Tugon sa Pag-Ibig ng Diyos”, the benefit concert was commenced by the Korong Paslit Choir Group with the Opening prayer, followed by a number from the Saint Peregrine Chorale in which they performed their own rendition of the song “Gandang Sinauna at Sariwa”. Other song and dance numbers were performed by the OSM Seminarians and Virgo Maria Ensemble. Adding a twist to the Concert was the Spoken Word Performance by Julius Chiba Santos where he recited some “hugot” lines mostly about the pains and joys of loving someone. One of the highlight of the Concert was the Baby Shark dance number of the Parish Priest Rev Father Pascual “Aloy” Salas together with the Saint Peregrine’s Youth Animators. Aside from his dance number, Fr Aloy serenaded the audience with his acoustic version of songs such as “Hinahanap-hanap kita” by River Maya and “Kumusta ka” by Rey Valera.
Interestingly, more surprises entertained the audience – there was the 18th birthday dance number by the celebrant, who is a member of the Saint Peregrine Chorale, with her family and friends and there was also the marriage proposal from one of the members of the said Chorale group to his beloved girlfriend. And for the final act, the Saint Peregrine Chorale Group performed “Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling ka” a song composed by the famous OPM composer and singer Ryan Cayabyab.
